The Avanti Guitar trio is known for its repertoire ranging across Baroque, classical, contemporary, rock, pop, and jazz music. Formed in 2010 by Amy Brucksch, Julie Goldberg, and Christopher Teves, then students at The University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, the trio plays with verve, subtlety, and refined technique.

Amy Brucksch has performed with classical ensembles as well as Celtic fiddlers, Baroque harpsichordists, and African percussionists. She currently teaches guitar to over one hundred students at the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy.

Julie Goldberg is the first guitarist to receive a Doctorate in Music Performance from Northwestern University and holds degrees from other noted conservatories. She has taught guitar at numerous noted institutions and published works of her own compositions.

Christopher Teves is a composer as well as performer and has appeared with numerous orchestras. His compositions have been performed by the North Charleston Pops, The Eclipse Ensemble, the Silver Rose Duo, and Chamber Music Charleston.
